About Me
Hello! My name is Morgan and I am a Master's student in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University. I am from California and I attended UC Berkeley for undergrad, in which I studied Molecular and Cell Biology with a concentration in Neurobiology. During my time at Cal, I did research in Professor Bateup's cellular neuroscience laboratory, and I also worked for a stem cell therapy startup. I am passionate about protecting the environment and I worked as Campaign Manager for Herbicide-Free Cal, which is an organization dedicated to banning the spraying of Round-up on university campuses. Currently, I am working on a research project using engineered cardiac tissue to model myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. I am also the Vice President of GoBME, the graduate organization for biomedical engineering. In my free time, I love exploring NYC, trying new restaurants, and going to hot yoga.
