Interstitial Fluid

Interstitial fluid is the liquid that exists between the cells in the body. It contains nutrients that have passed through the capillaries, waste products from cells, and acts as a medium through which cells communicate. The composition of interstitial fluid is tissue-specific, meaning it is different in different areas of the body.
