Oven
In scientific research, an oven is used to dry samples or to cure liquid polymers into solids. Ovens allow for uniform heating at user-specified temperatures, making them especially useful for applications in which temperature control is important. In our lab, one common use case is curing liquid polymers into a solid form for bioreactor platforms. To do this, we mix a liquid polymer with a curing agent, pour it into a mold, and cure it in the oven at 60 degrees Celsius overnight.
