Kimwipe
In scientific applications, keeping equipment and workspaces clean are very important. However, the materials used to clean an area may leave behind a trail of lint or residue when looked at on a microscopic level. To avoid this problem, scientists frequently use a special kind of cleaning tissue that does not leave particles behind, and is specially packaged to ensure no airborne contaminants, or electrostatic discharge affects it.
One of the most commonly used brands of these ‘tissues’ in laboratories around the world are the Kimtech Kimwipes. These special one-ply, or one layer, wipes are extremely light and do not scratch most materials, allowing us to clean things like microscope slides and pipets.
Kimwipes act as a "science napkin" that allows researchers to reliably clean spaces and equipment without leaving behind lint.
